Active POS: Troubleshooting the Star receipt printer

Problem: Red light is blinking

Printer is out of paper. Install a new paper roll.

Problem: The printer self-test displays the message “No Host Connection”

USB or Ethernet cable has lost its connection with the router. Check cables and connections.

Problem: When printing a sales receipt from the POS, you receive an error on the iPad. Active POS does not print a receipt, or the cash drawer will not open.

Possible causes:

1. Two users are attempting to print at the same time. Wait a few seconds and try printing again.

2. Your Apple AirPort router is not communicating with the Star receipt printer.
